I thought some of you might enjoy an old song my dad used to sing for me - I think Burl Ives recorded it as well, or at least a version of it.  I have no idea who wrote it, but I think Burl's version had more verses than my dad's.

He was only a lavender cowboy,
The hairs on his chest they were two,
But he wanted to follow his heroes,
And do as the he-men do.

Chorus:  Dum-de-dum-dum-dum-dum Dum-dum-dum-dum

Red, green and many colored hair tonics
He rubbed on his chest day and night
But when he looked in the mirror next morning,
No new hairs grew in sight.

Chorus:

He battled for Red Nellie's honor,
He cleaned out a hold-ups nest,
He died with two six guns a-smokin,
But only two hairs on his chest.

Chorus:

Ah, a testosterone laden boost for the follicly challenged...

Sigh,

I have WAY too much chest hair ... front and back .... my follically challenged area is far more north ... LOL
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

Well, at least you've got transplant possibilities ::)  As for me, my northern areas, southern areas, and eyebrows all headed out of town about the same time, without ever having given a shot at my chest or my back :'( Such is life.  At least the guy in the song was apparently a good shot.  Man.  I really got the short stick! ;D
