Shotgun Steve

Rare picture of James Butler (Wild Bill) Hickok. After a shave and a haircut. It is possible that this picture was taken in La Salle, Kansas around 1859.

Shotgun Steve,

I will check with Joe Rosa and Cynthia Rosinski (Edith Harmon's daughter) but if I remember correctly this is not a picture of Uncle Jim.  I believe it was once identified as Guy Butler, Wild Bill's cousin.

I never, in my life, took any mean advantage of an enemy, but I never allowed a man to get the drop on me either.

Shotgun Steve

Tame Bill,

Please do check on the photo. I research these photos as best I can,
but if any of you folks know that I have posted the wrong information
please set me straight. That way we all learn something. Thanks Tame Bill.
