Not only that, but Murphy's Law is a tad optimistic.

Howdy, pards. Got back from Columbia and it took a day to catch up on things. Now I can relax. You all have been busy, I see. It'll take a while to go through everything, but I'll get caught up soon.

Good to hear you're back in town, Ace. Welcome back.

Here are a couple photos from Columbia. The lady in the correct outfit was from the museum and she gave us a first class tour of the main street, taking us into places that are normally locked up. Note the spelling in the sign of the Eagle Cotage. A cottage is a small bungalow. A cotage is a place to rent a cot so you have a place to hang your hat. We had a good time.

Do folks live there Marsh? Get me a cot i'm ready to go.. :)

The cotage is empty, but a lot of people live in town. The blacksmith shop is a working one. The jail was really interesting. No windows and little air or anything. I suppose you could stay there. 8) :o ;D

Holy bejeebers! there are some 40 threads to read. This will take a while. Maybe a couple days. How many would there be if I was gone for a whole week or something? It'll be fun to see what everyone has been up to. I hear there are a few new people hereabouts. Some real talent, too. Welcome to the forum, all. I'm looking forward to reading your posts.

Marshall Will those are great pictures. If you have a site or blog somewhere that tells about your trip or has more pictures I would love to know about it.

I sold a car which means a little extra spendin money, so I bought a 1911. I owned one years ago, but it's been a long time since I shot a semi auto. It's a Para Ordnance GI Expert in stainless steel. It's an entry level gun with a single stack. I took it out yesterday and got some great instruction from one of our top NRA instructors & CAS shooters. It was awesome!

If all goes well I will shoot my first Wild Bunch category in Western 3 Gun this Saturday.

I also want to publically thank several Pards from this forum who've been most kind to me recently. Kid Terico, Dalton Masterson, Wiley and Slowhand Bob have all sent me various items at their own expense to help me in this great craft. If I inadvertently left someone out please forgive me, as the memory just isn't what it use to be!

Mongo sold me some webbing which I could not find anywhere else, and at a very generous price. WC has been so generous in the past, and has sent me another item due to arrive shortly. To all of you who've been so helpful now, and in the past, my hat goes off to all of you, and I offer a most sincere thanks, JD
