Very beautiful work LOGAN  :P

I found a 1881 pommel holster pattern by Jim Simmons on the leatherworker.net forum that I liked.
And here is the result of that nice pattern..

PS. I wonder if the holsters have the same size as the 1881 half flap belt holsters  ??? If so, I got a pattern
for that to..DS

Howdy Boothill,

Wow! That's a mighty fine looking Rig you have made there. Many thanks for sharing it with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

I can't seem to figure out how to make a post that is my own...Forgive me if I mess this up.

Here's my latest project - finally completed...WOW!  What a challenge it was to design the purse to my mom's specifications, vinegaroon the Leather, and hand stitch this thing together.  I had to remake the one piece bottom/side pieces, and I learned quite a lot along the way.

If you notice that is an inlayed genuine Turquoise Stone (from Nevada Gem) on the front flap holder.  I'd done something similar before and it took me a few tries on practice material before I did the real thing.

Oh; just a question.  Does anyone regularly use Tandy's dyed Linen thread?  I had some trouble with it hand stitching...and don't intend to use it again.

Here are a few pictures... It will be a while before I do another purse.

I have used tandys black tread and I'm not happy with it. It brakes easy  >:(

I love the purse! I need to find out how to inlay stones like that. I never thought about doing that that way. Your mom is lucky!!
