Oh boy! I was just looking at my 1903 Springfield clip today, and thinking I needed to make a carry pouch for a few for when deer hunting. Thanks for the idea, Andy!

Major 2

This is Dexter and my attempt to make him a holster.
The inspiration comes from Packing Iron pg. 82

7 oz leather hand sewn with waxed thread , simple belt loop,  hand spun brass cap.
( I choose brass over, silver plate because the Spoon & wreath belt buckle will be brass from Dell Leatherworks, I also perfur brown over black)

Dexter is a 38Colt heel based conversion (Kirst) on 61 London Navy frame, Nitrate blue

Howdy Andy,
Beautiful work you are posting! I like the wide range of designs you produce. Many thanks for sharing it with us.

Howdy Major,
Well I think Dexter should be mighty happy. The Holster looks good on Dexter.  Many thanks for sharing your Holster and of course Dexter.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Love that rig, Major! Classic style.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.

Hey Folks

Here is a repro of a Browning Gunrig. Original was made during the 1910, for Colt SAA 1873, 5,5 inch.

Have a happy new year

Andy,
Very nice as usual.
I have to ask you about your Maker stamps though. Are they original stamps, or are you getting them made as needed?

The reason I ask, is I bought a stamp last weekend, but am not sure that its a leather stamp, or for something else.
It is marked B.F. Iveson, but nothing else. It is well made and heavy steel, with an octagonal handle. Are any of your stamps made that way?
