Howdy, pards. I've been on the road for a couple days but I'm back. what a great bunch of pictures you have posted. I love those arrowheads and bows. I learned to shoot a bow when I was a kid. I got a bow for my birthday and broke my right arm a week later. I learned to shoot left handed and the cast made a great arm guard while learning. I haven't shot one in years. I suppose I should go give it a try again. It's really a lot of fun.

What a cool clock display that is, Johnny. Most intriguing. I like it.

I have a great guitar that I never learned to play right. Maybe some day when I slow down. I can play two songs on my harmonica, though. One of 'em is Red River Valley and the other one isn't. ;D

Well guys, we had a great service today. We dedicated a baby and anounced that my long time associate is heading down the road in January to be the senior pastor of a church in another town. I can almost always work something about the range or leather, or CAS in the message.

We have a gal, Norma Lee Quick, who's been a top shooter for the last few years take a bad fall while inline skating, and broke both arms and wrists. I saw her last night at our annual night shoot, and she's hanging in there, but in some significant pain.

She's staying with her folks, cause she needs quite a bit of care. She says she can't even wipe her butt, and that's got to be frustrating, not to mention humiliating!

We've been taking up a collection for her, cause she doesn't have insurance, and the bills are piling up. If you think of it, she could sure use some prayer!

Dr. Bob

Well, I guess that I missed most of this thread!  Prayers up for all mentioned in need of them.

I do historical reenacting/living history of the War of 1812, Mexican War, Santa Fe trade, & Surveyor.  I both of the war periods, I can portray a Surgeon or Engineer.  In the 1812 era I do a regular Engineer and talk about field fortifications, military roads and reconnaissance.  In the 1840's era I portray a Topographic Engineer - explorer.  This coming weekend I will be Surgeon's Mate J. Cool [real historical Army Doctor] at Fort Osage National Historic Site, which is about 30 miles east of downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  Been doing military living history there since about 1993.

Was in Marion, Indiana the first weekend of Oct. for Mississinewa 1812 [3 day event w/20,000 visitors] as the US Engineer.  Jan. 8-9 I will be the Surgeon for the 95th Regt. of Foot [Rifles] of HM King George III at the commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans.  Get to live an a fine Ante-Bellum summer home that was built on the battlefield in the 1830's! ;D  Will have my medical equipment collection which is better for 1812 than many museums at historic sites.

I also do ballroom dancing! [Now you know why my email address is dancingbobd@sbcglobal.net .]  Mostly I make the effort to go swing dancing and to dance Argentine Tango!

Ballroom dancing. That sounds very interesting. I used to do roller dance skating until I dislocated a kneecap showing off on ice skates. There's really something great about getting immersed in the music and going with it in a pattern, sometimes very intricate.

The thing that I have enjoyed most in life is flying. I used to work as a commercial pilot (not airline pilot but still working for a living) in many capacities. I had an airplane I used for fish spotting that I modified highly and got a pile of hours in. Here's a pic of it.

LOL, I've had a few intresting landings off the beaten path, for sure. That plane got a lot of mods in the years I had it. The paint started out as a joke and ended up a reality. It was a heck of a lot of fun to fly and work on.

Kid, that is was a Cessna 152 although it doesn't look like it.
