Thanks everyone.Rick, Cliff said it perfectly, just jump in, and if it don't work just make a smaller knife.Cliff, I didn't make that damascus,( sadly don't live in a place where where forging would go over very well). It was my last billet of Alabama Damascus.I switched to Chad Nichols Damascus awhile back and I think his work is far superior and I also have less problems HTing it.Dave

Here's a link to Chad's site, he makes some very nice steel for us to play with

Rick, it is flat out amazing what some of them are doing with the mosaic damascus. I haven't used any of Chad's steel but would like to try some.

Here is a picture of the sheath to go with my HOG rig posted earlier.

It has no sealer or finish on it at that point. A work in progress.  ;)

Looks good Chuck, nice and clean, good job on the scallops, it will look just spiffy with your H.O.G. rig. ::)

Here is one just finished. A belt and holster in my S.D. Myres patterns for a 5 1/2 inch Blackhawk. The rig does have a couple things I normally don't do unless requested, the keeper on the belt and a hammer tie down. Still this is a pattern for early 20th century so they fit right in.

Chuck nice looking knife sheath and Cliff sharp looking Jock Strap rig. KT

Good pattern Cliff, and nicely executed, the color is really nice, what did you use?, I like your use of copper rivets, it really ages an item, your use of lines and border stamping is simple but elegant, it just looks great all around, thanks for the look see pard. As for a keeper, I prefer them, and hammer thongs were used quit a bit in the twentieth century which is fitting for jock strap style.
