and for those wondering bout tanning the hide i couldnt get the whole thing out in one piece
so the hide stayed with the body just packed out all the useable meat and the head \
and as for the ivories im toying with the idea of making a pair of wedding rings for my wife
and i just need to come up with a unique design for us but othe than that all is good here
now time to get caught up on leather orders i put off to got hunting lol
GOD BLESS PARDS

Panhandle Slim

Since I'm wearing an 1878 Cavalry Captain uniform, I needed something that looked like it might be something that a mounted trooper might use.  Since I really don't care for a Mills belt, or any of the commercially made shotgun shell or cartridge sliders, I figured I'd just have to make my own.

These are my shotgun loop sliders.  Yes, one holds 5, and the other 3.  Don't ask.  Suffice to say I never was very good at measuring things.

This is the cartridge loop. It holds twenty-four 45 LC, 45-70, or 44-40 rounds.

This is the whole belt. I even made the belt too.

Great idea, nice job. Panhandle it should go good with your uniform. KT

Those look good, PSlim. The modular way you did this allows for good flexibility regarding arranging things. Thanks for sharing. Welcome to the Leather Shop. Looking forward to seeing more of you around here.

Nothin wrong with 5. Lots of stages call for 4 + so you got it made (assumin you're not like me, missing targets & droppin shells)

Very nice work.

Howdy KT,

The pleasure was all mine. I received some excellent tips from the "Master" which will definitely improve my work. As I've said many times before, pictures do not do the Kid's work justice. It's always an honor to view his collection.

Many thanks for your help and generosity.

Ned,

Please don't castigate yourself about this .... if it happened like my infection, my computer was infected by a 'spam-like' email that allowed the virus to enter my computer.  I didn't know it was there until I started getting emails from friends ....

I found when this happened to me, that a 'comprehensive scan' of my security system (mine is Norton) , that the scan automatically identifies and removes all the known viruses (this one is pretty common). The Scan usually takes about an hour and is usually set up to shut down the compter when done ... so I strart the scan and go off to run errands.

Matter of fact, I have a bunch of errands to do this morning ... I think I will run one of those scans when I go ... thanks for reminding me!

Because I scanned a couple of weeks ago, there wasn't much to scan .... I seem to already be done ... hope your scan is as quick!

It wasn't, mine took 3 hours and it is done automatically once a week. I've got Microsoft security and it hasn't let me down yet but now I have to wonder?

I would not wonder too much ... like mine, these things only get picked up on scans ... so if it came in between scans, it simply would not get picket up til the next scan ... *S*

I hope this will help, I've used several anti virus protection soft wears, and the only one that has worked for me is Trend-Micro, it not only gives me better scans than I was getting before, but it nails any virus's in there track before they can cause any problems, I've been using this internet protection for a few years now, and have not had any problems, but there were several attempted attacks, but Trend -Micro stopped them at the front door.
