Very nice work, EE. Obviously, the full rig is designed for the wearer to put the buckle in the back, out of the way. Thanks for the pics.

Dave, the rawhide sheath looks really good. I like the color for it. The knife is cool, too. It has that trade knife look with scale handles. Very attractive. I like the trade knives.

Thanks for the compliments, Pards.

JD, yes they are my own patterns. these patterns are a concoction of several holsters. I kept using parts from my old rigs and adding them to new rigs until I got (what I feel is) a close to perfect holster pattern. Mine are close, everyone on this forum IS perfect!

Marshal, You are correct. A friend from the SASS forum gave me the idea. Cherokee Charlie, Now there's a pard that makes perfect holsters.

I try my hardest. ;D

I took a bit of a break from things, but I'm back and happy to be here.

EE Taft

This year I put in two gun rigs for raffle at the St. Jude's Charity Shoot. The black and tan above was one and this is the other.

It was built for a 12 year old shooter. the belt was so short that I built a badge holder and cartridge slide in one piece.

WATCH OUT!!! This boy is good! One of these days he's gonna be whoopin' all of out butts!!

That rig wasn't as "BLINGY" as I normally do, but it was fun, simple and turned out nice. I asked the young feller what he wanted and he surprized me by saying he wanted as plain and trail worn as possible.

Well, it's plain and rugged lookin', now he's just gotta trail wear it. ;D

It was very cool to make one for someone smaller as it presented a certain challange in building the badge holder/cartridge slide and still leave room for the knife sheath that he already had.

You notice the lace edges which is something that I havn't done in quite some time.

Really happy with the turn out, and so was he!! Mission Accomplished!!

Howdy Mr. Taft,

That is a mighty fine looking Rig. This young man will be very proud to wear it. Many thanks for sharing it with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

JD Alan

EET, you rock man! Nice rig for a great cause.

Very nice rig, EE. Badlands Bud was a kid in our club when he started. How great it is to help up and coming leaders get a start. Good idea to make the cartridge and badge holder one piece. Nice work on that one.
