My sister got one of those guys on to her. She agreed with all he said and had him looking for the check. Back and forth. "Did you get the check?", "No.", "I sent it three days ago.", etc. Finally, she tired of screwing with him and told him she was just stringing him along. Hats off to that one. 8)

John is my ex brother-in-law.  He can stay in England.  He'll probably like it there: their jails are better than ours.

Heck, I had one of those scam guys on the phone today at work. He called for a fellow employee, and I took the name, number, then case number, etc. He told me that the employee, Juan, should not be driving around, as his license has been revoked.. ???
Then he called me back a few minutes later, wanting to know why Juan had not called.
Then 15 minutes later..... Thats when he got rude, and I hung up on him. Then he called me right back, told me I was interferring with a Federal investigation, and that MY license was revoked, and I would be fired and jailed.
I then sent him to my available boss, the City Manager. He sent it to the Police Chief....  ;)
I looked up his number on Google, and the guy is a listed Debt Collector/Scammer that has used that ruse to get quick payoffs on people scared of him...
Made my morning interesting anyway....

Even though I enjoy working the Western stuff, I do get alot of other requests, some rather different. This sword scabbard was made for my friend Alan Folts, the maker of the sword. The 24" sword has a carbon fiber handle and Alan asked me to inlay matching carbon fiber into the scabbard. Here is the result, it is an open front scabbard for easy withdrawl, and is about 1" thick for rigidity, not fun to handsew.Dave  :)

That really came out nice, Dave. I can imagine the fun punching all those 1" holes. :o

Here's how my WB hat came out. It took a bit of fiddling but I got the steaming right. The easiest part was making the long oval. The brim took the most time to make look used without loosing the look. The cord to secure the wind strap is made from a long piece of brown denim sewn into a tube then twisted when wet. I may wet the strap to level out the top where it loops over the cord.

Finished my first knife kit and I am hooked.  My thinkin is that until a hombre makes the blade, handle and all he ain't no knife maker, but it is still lots of fun to put the componets together and shape the handle.  I did some dremel tool art on the bone handle and attempted to antique it.
