If Dave Cole posted a pic of a Wild Bunch holster with a hair on cowhide insert I missed it, but I saw it for sale on the web here. What an incredible piece of work that one is

Added a couple of days later: Dave, I don't know how I missed that one, but I sure like the looks of that hair on 1911 holster. You do fine work. Once again, you don't charge enough for your work pal.

Welcome to the Leather Forum Pete, glad to have you join us.

I never raised any rattlers, but I've shot & skinned a few in my day, though it was many years ago. I drove over one in a pickup once, purely by accident. I felt the bump, got out to see how he was and ended up chasing him through the grass for quite a ways. I finally pinned him with a shovel. He was over six feet long. This was outside Placerville, Calif. in 1971. There were lots of them in that area at the time.

Those are some tough critters.  Anyway, look forward to having you share some of your work with us. JD
