Howdy Santee,
In the picture you posted called "Lawstuds", I'm assuming that's you on the left. You look just like Seth Bullock from the HBO series "Deadwood". Cool picture!
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

santee

Yep, that's me. I'm a bit heavier, now....sigh. The fella on the right (the marshal) also does his own leatherwork.

(A bit heavier) Hey, stop talkin about me ;D Cool Pic Santee, that must have been a great street to walk down, with all that history.

Ned, is Silverado NM where the movie was filmed? I LOVE that movie. Yeah, I know it's not very realistic, but so what!

Yes JD it is. I believe that the town was built for that movie. A little ways SE of Santa Fe.

I worked there many years after and it had grown quite a bit up to about 50 buildings. About a dozen or so were complete and able to film inside.

THE most spectacular is the Salloon with the door on the corner where Costner did his famous "double shot". Two stories tall fully furnished including the bordelo upstairs, just magnificent!

When I was there they did lots of corporate outings, weddings and large gatherings like that.

It was great fun and I got paid besides! Fond Memories!

Howdy Santee

Boy howdy, you really look the part, I know you were having a ton of fun, I use to dress the part back in the early sixties, didn't do any reenactments. but had a lot of fun doing the quick draw thing, getting dressed up in our duds was part of the fun, I feel bad today that there weren't any pictures taken that I can look back on today, I didn't think about that stuff back then.

Thanks for sharing Santee, I enjoyed seeing them, and I'm making a copy for my album.

Those are fond memories Santte. I used to do gun fights and stage coach rides at Silverado NM. The movie town that Kevin Costner owned at that time.

What fun that was.

I was going to post some pix from Guns of Paradise but they seem to have grown legs. I hope I can find them, they can't be replaced.

Sorry no pics guys, too many moves, too many miles and lost.

Marshall it's been a long time and can't remember the Co. road names? It's not far east from I 25 south of Santa Fe. When I was there it wasn't open to the general public.

We crossed a one lane cattle guard and dove about a mile and there it was. No signs no nuthin'. I certainly could have changed by now.

The weather is real nice, i have been able to get out to the shop, but have found that If I spend to much time I pay for it in the evening! I think laying around all winter has got me so out of shape that it will take a while??? :(
Sure is nice to get back on here and visit with my friends!
