WEll not to be stupid but can you tell me if the lighting birds head grips will fit the Thunder ( i have small hands) and think they would be better . ( berfor i take a file and sand paper to the Thunder handles)

Nope, the Lighting is a smaller 3/4 size frame.

Not sure that is true, I have put the regular Birdshead/Thunderer grips and the Lightning style with the bump on full size guns. Might be they made the back of the frame the same for ease of manufacture , but I don't know for sure. Maybe you should ask someone at VTI.
