Call 1-800-430-1310 and get you a Hartford ordered . Long barrel and choke tubes a shooters dream .
You will be glad you ordered a Hartford .

Hello,  got the TTN 1878, 12 GA,  26" barrels no choke tubes. Got all of the Chinese oil off of it she cleaned up real good, wood is really nice and has some wavey swirl in it. Wood to Metal fit is excellant I was really surprised and so was my FFL dealer. Hammers came back easly with any style of cocking the hammers, dont need no trigger pull work. I will be changing them for a right hand shooter. No fancy case coloring here. She patterns really good at 40 yards and pretty good with slugs also, The weight of the gun takes the bite out of shooting slugs. Its a shooter if your looking for a hammer shotgun this is it. No matter who you order it from. Steel Dinger

Are choke tubes PC?

Guess it would depend on the "P" in question. ;)

IIRC, I first saw choke tubes being offered in the 1970's.  Most folks I shot with at the time scoffed at 'em, saying they'd never work.  One fellow even claimed to know someone who downed a rabbit at about 35 feet with his choke tube!  Seems it wasn't properly tightened or something, and the rapid exit of the shot took it along for the ride...

Of course, the kinks have been worked out by now, and choke tubes seem to be pretty standard offering.

Hope Santa gets my order for a 26 inch Hartford 1878 . I would love to do some Hunting with it this Winter .
I think it will make a fine Vintage Shotgun .

All I want is a set of barrels.  I got the rest of it.   ;)

So have you gotten the Gun RF?

I am very interested in a modern hammer double with the longer barrel.

I have a 26" barrel from Cimarron. I like it a lot. Points and patterns really well. I find it faster to point and shoot than my 870. At least for 2 shoots.

I am the PROUD owner of a Hartford 1878 shotgun . It was great to take it out of the box and wipe it off ,assemble it and off to the range . I shot a box of ammo and everything was good . If your in the Market for a hammered shotgun with 26 inch barrels give EMF a call and ask for Walt . Hurry they won't last long .

The 1878 Hartford is doing well in the Evaluation . Not only is it a Good looker but it's a Great shooter . I have a set of Tubes from Colonial Arms , these tubes range from Turkey to Improved Cylinder . This makes this shotgun a mighty useful weapon from  turkey hunters to bird hunters to Cowboy shooters and everything in between . Will post pictures later .
