Gold Verses Silver Marksmanship badge

This summer I qualified with my Krag 1896 rifle for the silver marksmanship badge. I ordered the badge from S&S Firearms, but when I received it, the badge was gold instead of silver. I have been informed that the gold badge is reserved for those who have qualified five or more times. My question is, can I use the same rifle to qualify four more times, or do I need to seek out four additional 19th century military rifles or handguns? I have three leveraction rifles, two of which are 19th century models, an 1893 Marlin take-down rifle 30/30 and a first year production 1892 Winchester 38/40, the other is a 1949 mfg'd 336 24" rifle pre micro-groove 2/3 magazine, also a 30/30. In addition to those rifles I have a first generation Colt SAA 45 Colt made in 1907. The only other military rifle from that era is my 1859 Farmingdale Shiloh Sharps 54 cal. I'd love some feedback here folks, I don't want to retain a badge I haven't trully earned and if any of the weapons I have listed above will work, I'll get to shootin  :)

Incidentally, there was only one item # offered for the badge and no finish options, if I wanted a silver badge I would have no idea how to convey that to S&S.

Have patience Hunter. The Grand Muster was this weekend, and there is no power out there. I am sure they will get you your answers when they all get back.

Go ahead and wear it.  If thats what they have, then thats what we'll use.
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

Thanks for the replies fellas :) Perhaps stamping numbers on the back of the badge to indicate the number of times a person has qualified?

With regard to the Marksmanship bar there is no distinction between gold and silver (and no requirement to qualify five times to wear a gold marksmanship badge).  Wear whichever you can find.
