New job...well,maybe..........

Howdy......
I got a call form one of my customers (I am also one of his customers) He asked if I was 'happy' I said,well,it could be better. He said come talk to me on your way home. I did and it looks like I might be changing jobs. It ain't for sure yet,we are still talkin. I went to see him first thing saturday morning also and ran into 5 of my regular customers in his store/shop (we ain't open on saturday) They all asked 'what are ya doin here' I told them I was 'just visiting,I have know Joe for a long time'  He was talkin like I had the job but he needed to talk to his people for final approval. I wll take it if it is offered..........

Howdy......
Well...It's gonna happen. I will start May 2nd. I will give my '2 week notice' tomorrow. I ain't gonna tell 'em where I am going so I may be leavin before 2 weeks is up (maybe tomorrow     ) It don't realy matter. I was told I can work the saturdays I ain't shootin.

Good for you pard. I know you will be happy, especially if you can still shoot on the saturdays you shoot on.
Is this another dealer or would it be for a transportation company? I have exhausted myself with resumes and applications at the dealers here in Bakersfield and I am now looking at some of the many trucking companies here. If I could still turn a wrench I would be writing my own ticket around here. There is a huge shortage of techs. Not so in middle management though.
I sure wish you luck and I know you will enjoy your new job.

No it ain't a truck dealer,seems I like after market better. I spent 10 of my 33 years inthe business at dealers. Its' a parts store specalizing in clutch & brake with general truck parts (no engine stuff) They have a new trailer parts division which is where I will spend most of my time.
I you want my old job...you can have it. As of today...they are lookin. It should be only about 700 miles round trip form  Bakersfield
