Howdy Pards,

I knew that someday someone would want a holster for the long cylindered Taurus Judge...Well, the manager of the local Tandy/Leather Factory (which by the way is Store #1) commissioned me to make him a holster for his JUDGE..  with an insert of Sting Ray...well here is the result.

Note: At first I thought I would have trouble sewing through the Sting Ray skin (it was harder than normal to cut) but the Ferdco punched right through it with ease...

Outrider, I really like it and Dalton, we must remember that sometimes beauty is as beauty does when it come to the gun itself.  The Judge intrigues me as possibly a great fishing gun???  What are the characteristics of Sting Ray, used alone would it do well  in a wet environment, after all it is sting ray?

Dalton Masterson

Well heck Bob, I shoot Starrs, so I know about the ugly gun syndrome! I want a judge too.
It would make a great fishing/snake gun.

Howdy Outrider,

Beautiful work! A great design with excellent workmanship!

The Sting Ray skin is tough stuff. Harley used it once as seat insert on their Screaming Eagle motorcycles.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Thanks for the comments.  Sting Ray skin has a...how do I explain this???....hard bead like surface...like small half round globules of what appears to be calcium...with the exception of the stitching holes...I would think it would be ok for a wet environment.  If you carefully look at the insert you cab see the little globules.

Howdy Johnny,

Geez...the seat of a Harley...I would think that stuff would wear a hole in the backside of your jeans in short order....and your right it is tough stuff

Outrider, the word that comes to mind for me is "Classy". You've got very clean lines, with superior workmanship, a class holster. The Stingray really adds to the look. Nice work, JD

Seemed to be alright when the ray was wearing it.  :D

Very nice work.
