Well fellers here I go again. I need ammo but cant find any available. I will pay whatever is fair market price and will prorate the price to buy partial boxes. If you can help me out let me know because Midway USA bpc is 30 day estimate for order and Ten-X will hopefully be up and rolling some out pretty soon, but Old Western Scrounger and Midway USA are back order from awhile back and I would guess they will get the first done. It is driving me nuts just being able to sit and hold and polish but not shoot it AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! Thanks guys, Regret Chancy

You need to warm up to casting and loading your own.

Cast & handload!

Midway's price for BPC 56-50's is... are you ready for this?

$149.99/20 rounds!! :o

This almost certainly has to be a typo, cuz Ten-X's Web site has it listed at $134.99/50. Midway shows a fifty round box in the picture, but says 20 rounds in the description.

All the places i know that sell .56-50 ammo:

Buffalo Arms
Fall Creek Sutlery
Gad Custom Cartridges
Cabelas(Ten-X)
Old Western Scrounger
You can also buy directly from Cimarron.com(Ten-X and they have the best price ive seen so far on Ten-X's box of 50 rounds)

Hope this helps.....

Thanks a bunch for the possibles ( if it in stock and available). My reloading equipment was ordered but I dont know when it will arrive. Ordered dies in 45 colt, 44 special, 45/70 govt, but am still hunting for rcbs 56/50 dies. I could definitely cast my own but if I can learn proper reaming, priming, reloading stages with purchased pieces (cases, primers, bullets, and lube) to assemble for now as I get better at it I will then take on moulding (casting) and other fine tuning aspects of making my own production of reliable and consistent ammo. I will be around  hunting for advice as I need it. Muchos gracias compadres, Regret Chancy

I know how tough it was waiting for ammo, I brought my 1st 100 rds of ammo from Gad Custom Cartiridge when the 56-50 first came out for $200...now I am reloading myself.
I just casted over 200+ bullets and reloaded 50 rds and could easily let you try some to ease your "itchy" finger if I only know how to ship it :(
or if you are near Antioch, IL...send me an email and we could go out planking at the local range. IT was so much fun shooting my Spencer rifle with my ACWSA friend...he was using his Zo??? rifle and shooting the 130 yd metal targets. He hit the 12" one, then I hit it too, he then hit the 6" target on his next shot, and I followed with mine hit...he then hit the 12" target again, I followed with mine hit, then he missed his next shot and I hit mine following shot. He hit his 5th shot on the 12" target...I said to myself....steady boy, breath easily, squeeze the trigger, squeeze the trigger and I hit the 12" metal target. Boy what a day  ;D ... nothing better than hearing the bullet hitting the metal target at 130 yd distance...so much fun  ;)

Let me know if you need some ammo. I am recovering from a surgery (had my gall bladder taken out) and doubt I will be going to the range for a while  :-[ Now I am looking at my Spencer and ammo and cant play with them.....somebody help me, please....LOL

I don't believe that RCBS is making dies for the 56-50 Armi Sport Spencer.  Lyman is the only source for them, unless you want to try the CH4D made for the original 56-50 Spencer-- not too sure how they will work, as some dimensions are different.

You can get precast bullets from Midway (ouch), or Buffalo Arms to load some up.  Gad has some available, I believe they are the Lyman 515139.

Hey Four 6s, That gall bladder surgery is rough. I know because I have been there. I was diagnosed with laryngeal throat cancer in 2005 and had radiation therapy 5 days a week for 7 and a half weeks. At same time I was also getting chemotherapy once a week for 9 weeks. Between the two procedures I remained very nauticous so on the scan of my gall bladder it was full of sludge so that was added intoregimen too. I was 30 years old when ENT Doctor found the cancer and it was in stage 4 and stage 5 is pretty fatal. I lost alot of myself but do still have my self here to do what I wish the man who raisedme didnt do. I hate to here of your troubles but if you will send me sum   dollar amounts and number of cartridges we can get some gold dust started your direction. Thanks pard, JRW8214 ;D ;D ;D

So glad to hear that you have beat the cancer and doing what you are enjoying most :) I am doing well and a happy man since my wife is buying me a used 1863 model Shiloh Confederate Sharps carbine....nothing to complain about...heeheehee ;D ;D ;D
Don't worry about the gold dust, we are all here to help each other out and have fun. If you can find out how to ship you the loaded cartridges, I am happy to let you try 20 rds of mine reload...just send the brass back once you have your reloading set up and running. That would be all since the brass is tough to get nowaday, like any ammo, after the 2008 election....crazy world we live in.
Good luck and All the best in your quest in setting up your 56/50 reloading equipment and supply.

I ahve bought alot of ammo from different state and they have came fed-x and or ups. Most have required an email withletter stating i am legally old enough to have it(the ammo). and that i have no outstanding charges denying me legal right to purchase and use ammo. If I was to order 200 cases, primers , bullets, and powder to do all 200. Would you be interested in putting them together? For this service I would be happy to split them with you 50- 50 just for the help. Think it over and see what you think. Thanks Regret Chancy

Howdy Appalachian Ed, If you dont mind my asking pard, where abouts in Kentucky are you. I am down here in this central Kentucky flatland but the mountains in south eastern and eastern Kentucky will always be home ground at least until I can convince the wife and daughters that my "medical" needs are forcing me to relocate in Colorado or Montana. LOL Maybe we could get together and fire off a few rounds. Regret Chancy :D

Hi Chancy, Please email me your address and what ever the information you think I will need to send you the ammo vis UPS or Fed-X at (eugeneshek@yahoo.com). I have never send live rounds vis Fed-x and UPS before so I don't know what they will need.

My Suggustion is to first try out a few of my ammo to see if they work for your carbine first, I don't mind letting you try out some of my ammo free. Since I am shooting the Spencer rifle instead of the carbine,  my worry is that those ammo might work for my rifle and not for your carbine. Hate to have you waste your supply if my reload is no good in your carbine. How does that sound?

That sounds more than fair and I really appreciate what you are doing for me. I will get a private email out to you asap. Thanks again, Regret Chancy ;D

Hey Ed we aint so far apart that far after all. I married in to a good family of Versailles flatlanders and have been here ever since. They have strong roots that run real deep because I have been married for 15 years to her and my attempts to move to another state or even to the other end of this one are constantly being shot down before I get 10 minutes in to my presentation of the facts of how we would be happier and better off.  :'( :(Maybe I will run into you at Wilderness Trail being done by the Fox Bend Peacemakers in a few days. Thanks, Regret Chancy ;)
