Evenin,
I am so new the green behind my ears still shines.
I got my SASS membership, I got the shootin irons, and I have the next match in Stillwater scheduled.
However, I can't find boots that will fit.  The calves of my legs are big and the foot is EEEE.
Anyone know of a brand or place that fits bemoths.
Thanks....

Good Evening:  Sorry I can't help you immediately if you need boots right away.  You are probably going to have to have boots custom made.  Go to http://drewsboots.com/measure.htm.  They have a unique measuring diagram, on just how and where to measure for boots.  Even if you do not order from them, you can use these measurements for reference when inquiring to other custom boot makers.  The last time I inquired their custom made boots were in line with the prices of Justin, Acme, etc.  Wish you luck.  RIO

You can check with Delmonico at Fort Frontier Shop, the have bots with elastic inserts at the top that should help with the calf problem. The width I'm not so sure about. Call The Fort and ask for Terry or Glen................Buck 8) ::) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

If you're hard to fit, I'd buy the boots in person somewhere, instead of on line. Friend of mine, who's a real shoe-horse, recommends that you shop for boots at the end of a day when you've been standing some, in other words when your feet are tired and a bit swollen. As she says, if they feel good THEN, they'll feel good any time.

I'll never shoot Classic Cowboy, so I worry less about historic authenticity. I have bad feet; always have; wore corrective shoes until I was 14. I have a couple pairs of 8 inch boots with elastic gussets. These are called "congress gaiters," or sometimes "Romeos." They are more or less historically apropros, although not necessarily western.

What we know as cowboy boots are the most godawful things on earth for standing. Pointy toes, high-ish heels. They are designed for horse riding: easy to slip into and out of stirriups. But just terrible for walking and standing. I bought a pair of decent ones used for $30 at an antiques show. Can't wear them for more than two hours.

Style points aside, I don't think you can shoot your best if your mind is on your sore, tired feet.

Just one man's opinion...

You might try heading out to a bigger western store and try on a pair of roper boots also, cheaper by a long shot, if your only going to shoot SASS, I'd look at a pair of Justin Double Comfort Ropers, my feet feel better in these than any other boot I've got... ;D

Pick up a Western Horseman magazine, usually 3 or 4 ads for custom boot makers, if they are worth their salt, they can make ay style and size

If ya want PM me some measurements.  Stand on a yardstick and measure from the back of the heel to the longest point on your foot, send me that measurment and which toe it is.  Measure it at the widest point and send me that along with how far that point is from the back of the heel.  I can tell a lot from that.  Sometimes I also have some one send a tracing.  Shape of the feet is as important sometimes as size.

I also have big feet 15 EW, the sign of a handsome man. I looked all over and found that Cow Town Boots had my size in stock, but not listed on their web site. Send them an e-mail and they can fix you up at a fair price. I bought two pairs for under $200.
