Where the fire is? Any pards down yonder close to it? Forty Rod? Curely Cole? Tupelo? How are things?

These fire are devestating in more than just loss of life and homes,the insurance companies aren't much help after from what i understand.Some folks don't get to rebuild and only get compensated for the dirt value now that the house is gone!Some folks have to do a lotto,if you pick the number you rebuild if not,to bad..

Forty-Rod is a fair distance south and east of the fire, with at least one freeway in between, so he and his should be okay.

I'm about 30 miles due west of the fire, and can only see the clouds and the top of the smoke above it.  It seems to be making its own weather.

I'm a little concerned about Lefty Longridge, though.

We had a couple of nasty ones up here too at the same time.  The Auburn fire took 60 homes and several busines'.  The same day that one took off we had a local gal smoke in bed with oxygen tanks in her room.  That took out a whole apartment complex 4 blocks away from me.  I can't smell smoke taday so that is a good thing.
