Good morning folks,
does anyone can tell me if the 1873 sight in the link http://www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/sights/73-uberti.php fits on the original 1876?

Thankyou

Bye

Hello!
I believe that, due to the longer bolt throw, you will need the one for the 1886.  I can check later to make sure if no one else answers first.

Finally have a working combination tang peep sight for my Chappy 1876.  This combination gave me enough elevation for shooting to at least 200 yds, I didn't try it farther than that but it was almost out of elevation.  Here are the MidwayUSA part numbers:

part # 228273 Marble Screw set #19  $4.99

part # 995425 Marble Improved Tang peep sight base $59.99

part # 886927 Marble Improved Tang peep sight Standard Upright $34.99

I also changed the front sight to part # 583923 Marble Front sight .410 height .531 width 3/32 gold bead.

John Boy It appears you have a Marlin Ballard frony sight on your 76. The Winchester has a longer tube. The sights are almost identical but Marlin has a tube the length of the slide and Winchester has a tube about 3/16 longer than the tube.
