There were several Dusenbergs there and one vehicle I would have loved to own. It was a red 59 El Camino with a tri-power 348 and 4 speed.

Was that 1859?  Surely it was pre 1900 or you wouldn't want it so much!

He's doing a lot better. I talked to him over the phone yesterday.  Yep, that 348 didn't come out till 1902.

From my experience it don't, just feel them tugging on ya.  They used those when they took out my appendix instead of sutures.

Howdy, friends.

As for the staples, I was worried for no good reason.  "Much ado about nothing."

I took a shower right before leaving for the hospital appt. for staple removal, and kept the area moist, so the area was soft and out they came with no feeling other than the slight tugging that Leo mentioned.

Ive. never had problems with stiches, maybe because I know how to pull them myself if the Dr's office waits too long.  Both knee replacements required staples and both times the nurses caused pain removing them, the secong time one ripped the skin and I had to bandage it back up for a few days to stop the bleeding.

That's what was worried about happening to me.  Didn't happen.  (I guess I dodged a bullet on THAT one!)

Like you, Tom, I have removed most of the stitches I ever had - about 100-110.  Now that I have the proper tool, if I need to I can now remove staples the right way ... instead of using the needle-nosed pliers l had to use on 3 staples before I went to have them removed.  Those 3 had worked out one side and I didn't fancy getting them caught on my towel after a shower, or on/in my T-shirt while watching the new-fangled electric picture-viewer.

I've never had any of the staples yet, but There have been many stitches.
