Arizona Cattleman

Started a new project, my second.  here is a pic.  Not perfect but learned sewing process.  Now to perfect it.  This is a knife scabard that will fit on my suspenders.  Don't have stamping tools so this is very plain.

I think it looks very good and also shows that you have picked up some techniques on molding your leather to the project.  One thing to remember, always save your patterns even if there is something that you are not quite satisfied with on the finished project.  Make notes on the pattern to remind yourself of what changes are needed the next time you do a similar project and refer back to your old patterns often.

You've done a nice job with that Cattleman. Of all the various aspects of this craft, I still have the most trouble getting a decent looking stitch line, and you've got a nice one. I think you are well on your way. Congratulations! JD

Thanks Pards, the back stich line is not so straight, but for the first time using a book for instructions, not bad.   After I made it I realized that my suspenders don,t allow the sheath to go on, but at the buckle there is a rivet, so I am going to replace it with a snap and that should solve my problem.

Cattleman, it may be a firsy attempt but it was a very successful one.  I am very partial to simple designs and I really like the style and the fitting on that sheath.
It looks like it will be very useful mounted on your suspenders. That was also a very good idea and it looks very well done.

Very nice, Cattleman.  I like the color, and the idea of attaching it to your spenders.

That did come out very good. I agree with the others that it's a good idea to attach it to your suspenders. It'll be nice to see your next project with basket weave on it.
