ok, difficult choices

 Hey Folks, trying to decide between a 66 or 73 Winchester for CAS. What are you folks choice of long guns? Give me some suggestions please!!!

Both of those are good guns.  Hard to go wrong with either.  That said, one of them will likely fit you better than the other.  That ought to help.

Howdy! Yup, it's a tough choice. I'd try them on. Seriously! Hold them up as if you were shooting them, looking down the sights. The length of your arms and neck does make a difference.

If one is not carful the 66 can be fired out of battery, the disconect device keeps the 73 and all later models of Winchester rifles from firing unless the bolt is locked.  This is not a problem if you keep your finger off the trigger till the bolt is locked.  If not, just catch the bolt in yer teeth, and spit it out.  It'll add style points. ::)

Historic note, the early 73's did not have this, it was added about 1875.
