Howdy Gents

I made these Pancakes a few weeks ago, for a H&K P2000, 40 S&W, I just never got around to taking any good pictures, Thanks to Outrider, I like the way they came out and fit, they hold your gun just at the right angle to have easy access to it, and it is comfortable to wear, it doesn't seem get in the way, I made one of these a few months ago for a customer, who wears his gun daily and he says he loves it, he said it hugs the body and you never know its there.

Thanks for taking a look see

Howdy TW,
Those look Super Nice!! I plan on making one someday, I just havn't figured out how to get it to ride real high? I want to pack my Officers Model Colt 45, but I don't want anything to show except where the belt holes are!
You did a great job!!

Ace, sounds like you need to think about making a pattern for an inside the waistband.  I have not seen it in a long while but I did have a nice little pattern for a high ride govt model I worked out.  It was somewhat a cross between concealment and competition with tension adjustment screws and a high ride with low profile.  I think my oldest daughters husband now has the actual holster that I made from the pattern???

Now for my dirty little secret, I was bragging on this holster to some internet friends, years ago, and poo pooing the fact that one of them made Kydex holsters.  Well he sent me one of his holsters and ever since, they are all I have used for the serious guns (1911 in non play mode).  Being made one off, they are extremely expensive and do not look like much but there in lies their greatest attributes.

outrider

TC,

Those pancakes look really great...nice job for sure.

Bob,
I wished you still had that Pattern!! That is exacty what I want to make! I used to slip my 1911A1 in the back of my pants, but since I killed my back, there isn't anyway I can do that. Back to the Drawing Board!

Howdy TW,

Great looking stuf! From vintage to modern, you do it all. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Pards for your kind words, these pancake holsters really serve a purpose, and Special Thanks to Outrider for his help on this.

coffee, Bacon, eggs, hash browns and some biscuits, sounds good, I'll do it. :D ;D ;D ::) ;D

Ace, the wife (boss) is keeping me pretty busy right now but I am stealing a bit of time here and there trying to reorganize the shop.  If I stumble on those plans I'll copy them here for you guys.  I want to try doing one vendor outing later this year as a test run, if time doesn't run out to produce a few items.  The more I look around out there the more junk and unusable stuff I find.  I even found three heavy sides, very low quality, that I thought had been used up.  My thought is to just punch them all out as practice  holsters for newbies to cut their teeth on.

Ace Lungger

That sounds great Bob!! I think that is one thing that holds a lot of people back from doing the leather work! Leather isn't cheap, and a newbie if he or she is on a budjet will have second thoughts of speding $40.-$50.00 on a peice of leather just to mess it up! No hurry on the pattern!!

LOL. And I thought I was the only one making lefties for modern pistols. I just got done with a left-handed cross draw for a S&W 357. Yay for southpaws!

The wife is a lefty, and I'm saving up dough to get her a new 357 ... borrowed one from a friend for the pattern. Making that friend one as well, only in a righty. LOL.

Thanks Pard, I appreciate your kind words

Bois DArc Bascom, I'll see what I can do about the grits

RT, my wife and I are both LEFTY'S, my son is AMBI, and my Daughter is a Righty, over the years I'm seeing more and more lefty's, I don't think they beat them down like they used to, my Grandmother had her wrist broken by her teacher when she was a very young girl, for writting with her left hand, he had a willow branch he liked to use on the kids, her Dad my Great Granddad beat the crap out of the teacher ::) 8) ;D, and there wasn't any school for two weeks ;D until they finally got a new teacher in to take the class over, I can just imagine what would happen today if that happened. ??? ::)

Thanks again all for taking a look see, much appreciated :D

                                             Regards

10 Wolves, I always tell people that I'm Ambidextrous: I don't use either hand very well, at least for shooting!  I tried shooting Duelist Saturday, after practicing all week, and came in first, in a field of two! The other guy tried it for the first time as well, and did a little worse than me. ???

Those are really sharp pancakes, just like all of your work. Thanks for sharing, JD
