My Ultra Gamer Short Stroked Henry

As stated the ivory insert is P.C. my "Winchester" 1873 had the partial remains in there before falling out & I think my Dad's 73 is still intact.

I wouldn't state that your short-stroked Henry will allow you to win a match...but it could certainly allow you to "edge" over a similarly gifted shooter in your class. A mechanical speed improvement in the firearms operating speed is a particular advantage as the targets get closer and in a line and/or when multiple hits on the target are required.

I'll have to see if the folks at my friendly firearms museum at work will let me overlay a Henry with a 1873 to photograph the difference. If not, I can certainly compare them side-by-side, easier than at the local firearms auctions. I can add that my "Winchester" 1873 has the identical stroke to my Uberti 1866, but they do fire the same cartridge.
