got to brag a bit

howdy pards
was at the tandy shop yesterday getting supplies and the guy there has become a good friend and he has had a 3 lbs rawhide maul head on his clearacne table for months and i said something bout giving him 10 bucks for it to get it out of his hair and he was sold its been sitting there for a year now and im tired of lookin at it so i bout it then went to home depot to get a dowel to make a handle and right next to the dowels where the shaped table legs and i found one thats bout 8 inches long and thought thats me handle and with a little hard ware from the hardware store heres what i can up with

My wife has somethin similar,she calls it a knoggin maul ,not as purty as yours though

So what do you use that type of maul for?Carving? Stamping?
