Removing broken case

How do you remove 1/2 a case that is stuck in the chamber? The gun is a 32-40 Ruger #1. I was shooting bp rounds. Opened the lever and out popped half the case.

Start with a dry  bronze brush pushed in from the muzzle with a cleaning rod.  99% of the time that will work, if it don't let us know, there are several other methods.

Thanks for the info. I used a 50 cal bronze brush. Tight fit but the sucker came out.

No problem, most folks panic and have never heard of that one, sure is easier that some of the other methods.
