Does lube make a difference?

I'm currently using Lyman's black moly lube for my .38 rounds.  But the stuff is messy.  If I throw the bullets in a box, the lube sticks to itself, the bullets stick to each other, and I end up unlubing one bullet as I pull two bullets apart.

A while back I talked Thompsons into sending me a sample of their Blue Angel lube.  I really liked the stuff.  It was hard and stayed put.  I went back to order more, but as I read the details, they seem to be recommending it for hard-cast bullets.  Mine are rather soft.

So I wonder, will it make a difference in the long run if I go with a harder lube?

It'll make me happy, but what about my guns?

Thanks,

WM

None of us here can give you an honest answer on that, only your guns can.

Wandering man, If you want a good lube at great prices then check out the White Label lubes. Go to the Castboolits site and on the bottom of the page is a name Lar's Stuff. He will sell you a trial pack almost for nothing. His Carnuba Red and Bac are the top of the lube charts. He can also be found on evil bay but I rather deal direct. Plenty of shooters use the White Label lubes. Later David
