Hi Guys,
I've been hearing rumors that Gary Granger is no longer with USFA. Is this true?? If so, I'm very unhappy about that. I've had some wonderful dealings and communications with the man.

According to Jim Finch (Longhunter)... Granger is gone.
I also read extended vacation  :-\

I spoke with Mr. Donnelly today who told me that Gary is on vacation.

I spoke with certain credible USFA folks  also, he is on vacation

SAAJim

Very happy to hear that. I got a great deal on two SAAs from Gary a year ago last Spring. He's been agreat man to deal with and quickly took care of a warranty issue on a Rodeo I got a while back.

I called yesterday and he has no company listing in the automated directory, and when I asked the operator, she just gave me someone else's voicemail.

Gary has always been super helpful when I had problems with my revolvers, I sure hope he is coming back.

What's with the assault rifles advertised on their website? They have something new each time you look these days.

It will be interesting to see how long that extended vacation works out to be.

Long Hunter

I never said he was completely gone. He's on leave and will probably be back before long. Gary is a good man and real asset for me.

Well Long Hunter, since you're in the know, is there ever going to be a '75 Remington?

I'm still waiting for the .32-20 Lightning rifle they advertised.  They never made any and the rifle has been discontinued.

USFA is constantly over promising and under delivering. I have about had it with new products like the Remingtons advertised, and then never coming about. When asked USFA just ignores the request for information.

I am pretty disillusioned with USFA.

Looks like we're both riding through the desert of disillusionment in regards to USFA. You know I've been sitting back observing USFA's constant disregard for customers wanting information and here's what I have to say.
Obviously their SAA line is a formidable moneymaker, yet a previous posting regarding the halted production of SAA's to build other dubious products-such as a three thousand dollar 1911- doesn't do much to inspire customer loyalty. Doug Donnally needs to remember those words of wisdom from the latter day gunslinger Dirty Harry, Man's got to know his limitations!
A work in progress.

Charlie Bison

I have got to say I really don't think they have halted their production of SA. I ordered one 45 in February, got it in April. Ordered two more last month and they are already being made right now. That doesn't seem like things are halting in my opinion. Maybe I have been lucky. I have also found out the best way to know the truth is go straight to USFA and ask via the PHONE. Every time I have done this they have been straight forward and more then willing to answer questions, or squash any rumors that are floating about. I have had an extremely positive experience with them up to this point. I will not rely on emailing them, or any other form of contact besides the good ole fashioned phone.

Typically people complain about poor customer service on products a company has made, not those they haven't made.  A few people have little room for understanding that making replica products takes more than enthusiasm, it takes settling legal and licensing issues and still keeping a product within a viable price range.  The projected price range that reflected the difficulty of bringing these products to production was met with very little enthusiasm.

My mother once told me that people will usually overlook the positive things you have done to harp on the things you haven't done, because people like to find faults with everything.
