Has anyone converted a Hornaday BP Measure to work automatically on a RCBS 2000 progressive or am I jousting windmills?

How do, Tascosa Joe

I use the Horady BP measure on a Lock-NLoad and after comparing pictures of the RCBS 2000 I think it would work.
If I"m not way off base I've heard the RCBS case activated powder drop is a licensed copy of the Hornady model. In the instructions for the Hornady Case activated powder drop it gives  adjustment for the RCBS Uniflow. I think conversely the same would be true.
To know for sure , I would try some to find some one close with the Hornady BP measure, unless you have one handy.
Hornady's web site has an area you can send them questions. I've used it before and they answer promptly. You could contact RCBS as well.

Good Luck, and let us know if this works, as others out there might benefit.

Joe,
I use a Hornady BP measure on a Dillon XL650.  It works fine (with one thing you can do to improve it). The Measure is "self contained" and self actuating.  It is actuated by the shell at the station and needs othing else to make it function correctly.

There is one thing I don't like on the Hornady measure and that is the "Powder Through Expander."  It doesn't expand the mouths sufficiently for flat based bullets and it crushes cases every once in a while.  This is true on either the Hornady Press or the Dillon Press.  There is a third party solution:

It's a simple idea and it works, I still don't understand why Hornady sticks with their poor design.  It may work for bevel base jacketed bullets but it really doesn't work well for lead flat base bullets.

I looked at pictures of the RCBS press, it should work fine ...
