No, it's not another picture of me stuck up to my floorboards in more mud!!  But, I just thought I'd share with everyone the kind of spouse I have.  She graciously allowed me to pick our next car (since the Mud Magnet was about on it's last legs!!).  And what did I pick, you might ask?  Well, here it is.....

Birdgun Quail

Nice wheels!  For just a few dollars more you could have got it in red.

Seriously, that is a fine truck, good quaility, four (read very practical) doors, and now you can put your gun cart in the bed and not have to tear it down.

One last bit of advice.  Take good care of that little woman...you got a good'n!

P.S.  In 1965, I graduated from Fillmore Union High School.  Used to work at Lake Piru back in 1969-1970.
God bless,
Birdgun Quail

Birdgun beat me too it....... Now you can haul your guncart in one peice!   ;D

Swapped out the origianal picture for an updated one.  Had some additional accessories installed.  One you can see.  The other is a rear seat DVD palyer.  Sharp-eyed folks may get it right off.

Next thing going on is a Snug Top shell like this:

Vin Weasel

Well, Red, I'm a Chevy man, but I won't give you any grief cuz that's a fine lookin' ride.  I actually almost bought a Ford this last time around.  So, like Birdgun says...

You got two new trucks?  I'm so confused.........

This one should have a bed big enough to put the gun cart in.  Hope one of them is four wheel drive your you will be stuck just like the van was...... ;)

No Michael.  I still have only one truck.  The pic I posted above was an example of the Snug Top shell I was getting.

Four-Eyed Buck

Well, that should help keep things dry. Wouldn't want the cart to get wet..........Buck 8) ::) :o ;)

Ok, I understand now!  A topper is so handy to keep the snow out of the truck and off the tools.

Snow???? :o :o  Explain this "SNOW" stuf to me..... :P :D

Four-Eyed Buck

IROT, It's that white stufff that replaces rain in the winter. Remember those pictures Shorty posted of his place up in Tahoe the first of the year? That's snow, matter of fact I'm getting some here right now. Want some?..............Buck 8) ::) ;)

Wow! That is a nice truck Irish....and a 4X4 too. Good for you. If I may be so bold, once you wear out those Goodyears throw some BF Goodrich All Terrains on it. You will be amazed at the difference. That is, if you ever off road it.

I have always owned Ford trucks. I have a Chevy ZR2 now. I like it just as much as I liked my Fords. I love these people who do the Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge rant. Ya wanna start a Redneck Riot? (No, that's not my brother) .... Go to a bar in SW Pennsylvania and proclaim that Chevy is better than any other truck. One third of the room will side with you. The rest will be for Ford or Dodge. It's good for hours of entertainment. ;D

I figure it this way, at least Ford, Dodge and Chevy are built in America. They are all good trucks and each one has it's positive attributes.

Chevy's are prettier though.......Sorry, couldn't help myself. ::)

My Dad was a Ford man. He always said "If ya want to look good, Drive a Chevy. If ya want to get the job done drive a Ford!"
I remember askin' him once "What about Dodge?"
He said "What about Dodge?"
I said "Well, you never mention Dodge."
He said "There's a reason for that"
He never told what the reason was.

Enjoy that truck Irish.  ;D

Last post on the subject.  I know you're all getting bored looking at it.  But, I just got it back from the dealer.  Look at what they installed for me!!
