Why do you like Working Cowboy?  It seems to be the largest class and growing.  What is your draw to just shooting 2 guns?  Is it just the cost of ammo or do you really like less guns?

Just looking for some info.

Reality: not to many instances of guy's running around with two pistols, a rifle and a shotgun. I like the reality of less and reloading on the clock.

I think the Working Cowboy Class is the best thing NCOWS has going for it. Shoot one handgun and a rifle. Shoot it one or two handed, switch from two hands to one hand what ever you want to do on that stage. Shoot black powder or smokeless. Gun cart, who needs one, nothing much to tote. It is great for someone just starting, someone who has a health problem, not much reloading. Say you can't compete with the two handed smokeless shooters, well what are you going to win and why are you in this game. Most are in it for fun and are really shooting against themself. Just my thoughts. Tj

This helped me get started in Cowboy Action Shooting, The Wisconsin Old West Shootist (SASS Club) have adopted a 1 pistol 1 rifle catagory called Grubline Rider, with reloads, which make it really fun, some do not like reloading but what the heck sometimes you did not have a choice but to reload in the old west....
With that said I am not renewing my NCOWS, I can't see it anymore. Can't afford going to the Nationals to far of a drive for the wife and I....

I wish you all good luck with where NCOWS is headed.....

Shoot straight and hit em all......

Can't SASS come up with their own solutions? Do they have to keep copying us? :D ;D ;)
