Howdy All....need some help locating a reasonably priced Bison/Buntline.  I'm perforning a comedy magic act at a western venue and would like to use it in a gag shooting routine.

Condition is not a issue, as long as the mechanics work or can be repaired.  Planning to put in a conversion cylinder.

Many thanks  for looking.

I've seen 'em occasionally on "Gunbroker" at pretty reasonable prices.  Brass frame ones.
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Thanks, I'll keep and eye on their offerings.

Just an FYI......putting a conversion cylinder in a brass-framed anything is a recipe for disaster, 'gag' shooting or no.  All it takes is one person who doesn't know any better putting a smokeless round in the gun, and they may be gagging on some brass chunks.

What a burden it must be to be the watchdog of the world.  Thank you for your concern. :-X

I'm not a 'watchdog' of anything.  Unfortunately, what will likely happen when your gun explodes because you didn't have the common sense not to put a conversion cylinder in a brass framed revolver (as all the conversion cylinders warn you of) is that some innocent person standing next to you is the one that gets impregnated with shrapnel while you get by unscathed.

And then you'll no doubt act all surprised and chit.  "I didn't know!" you'll say.  Uh, yes you did.  Because the moron 'watchdog' told you so.

Hey, here's a thought....why not perform the 'gag' shooting act with the original percussion cylinder shooting just percussion caps.  For an 'act' that would be perfect, and no chance of an exploding gun either.

Matt Bastardson

And what the hey....as long as I'm on a soapbox (and instead of thanking me for warning you about brass frames and conversion cylinders you call me names), I suppose I should reming you that guns aren't something to 'gag' around with in the first place.  In fact, quite a few people have been killed 'gagging' around with guns shooting blanks.  John Eric Hexum is just one that comes to mind.

I'm sure I don't have to be the one to remind you that you're never supposed to point any gun at something that you don't intend to shoot....'gaging' or not.

There.  Now go do what you like.
