Whutz the back side like ? . . . does it go on a belt ? . . . or suspenders ? . . .  :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Same on both sides. I have yet to decide what I want to do. So far its just for putting in pants pocket.  per Georgia law code it must be in a holster....even in a pocket, purse, brief case, etc. I thought about a clip but I really want to keep it all leather. Good thing about lace, I can always open it up and change stuff!!!!

Hey Jack, it's a real good start. You should come on over to the leather shop(forum). Take a look around or just ask whatever questions you might have. Their  is always someone willing to help you get started with leather work and nothing we like more than steering a new Pard in the right direction.
If you just want to get ideas then browse thru the "show us your stuff" topic. there are plenty of things to look at and plenty of good folks to answer any questions you might have.
Lost..... I ain't never been lost...... fearsome confused fer a month er two once... but I never been lost.

Well, looks like you got moved over here. Welcome, pard. Your first holster is a milestone. Be sure to save a photo of it so you can always look back at it. I don't have a pic of my first one and I sure wish I did. That looks like a decent holster. It's simple and effective. Good idea to make it so you can drop it in a pocket like that. Typically a pocket holster is sewn to a rectangle of leather but you found another solution. You could always sew it to one later if you wish. Good job.

Excellent holster. I think it looks real cool. I live in Oregon, which is about as blue a state as you can find, yet we have fairly liberal concealed carry laws here. It's downright amazing. Thank God for the second amendment! JD

Jack that is dang nice Pardner, everything is in proportion, you'll do well in leather if you can do this on your first try, and by the way Welcome to the Leather Shop Pard.

Looks great Jack! Isn't it fun when you make something for yourself and it actually turns out good and works besides! ;D

When I first started 20 or so years ago 4 out of 5 holsters I did ended up in the trash, that was an expensive education!! ::)

Keep at it, it'll grow on you and don't forget to ask questions. There are alot of knowledgable folks around these parts.

Welcome to the leather shop.

Welcome to what I consider to be the finest group of folks in existence fer trading thoughts and ideas on cowboy leather.  I am just returning from a trip to Georgia, grandkids in tow, but as soon as I get things in order I want to add a couple of new patterns to our list.  Hang around a spell and we will talk about building some new holsters and I will do it with mostly around the house tools.

Welcome to the forum Jack. Great start! Very nice design!

You will enjoy the great fellowship and help you will get here.

Thanks guys

I was not expecting these replys. It fits nicely in my back pocket and if ever asked for my wallet, I can introduce the derringer instead!! It fits nice and snug. I can get to the safety button with ease, pull it out with finger on trigger and thumb in cocking position.  Actually like it better than my wife's LPC 380.

Outrider, I live way down by Florida!
