WC, are you using full weight saddle skirting for the cover on the swells. How long does it have to soak to get that pliable?

Howdy GB
Yes I am but the edges are skived back about 2-3 inches and the horn hole is skives about 3/4 of an inch.
I run the leather under the water till all the air bubbles stop.

Thanks WC, I almost have my ground seat done and I am getting better with the beveler. Like you said it just takes practice.

I have to figure out a way to get some more leather. I have enough to do some of the small pieces but I am going to need another side for the skirts. My ground seat doesn't look like yours but I am copying as close as I can the original

Onliest time that I have ever seen the Jonas Bros. is in the checkout line at the grocery store.  Been spelling it that way for quite a number of years!  I stopped listing to new music in the '70's when the guitars got fuzzzzzzzzy and LOUD.  Ole fuddy duddy I am!! ::) ;D ;)

Howdy All
Just finished the cantle back. Took all day to make the pattern and get the fit right so I could do the carving in the right place.
I'll post more pix after it's on the saddle.
