Well, anyway, the Ruger Vaquero and New Vaquero are kosher for NCOWS, or do I have that wrong (as usual)? I have three or four leads on relatively inexpensive ones, and just wanted to make sure.

They are NCOWS legal Frenchy.

Quickfire has it right. The new and old model Vaqueros are legal.........the Vaquero BISLEYS are not.

Thanks, pards, for making sure. Yeah, if you compare pics of the original Bisley and a Ruger Bisley, the differences are obvious. I agree that the Ruger Bisley doesn't meet our standards. I'd like to find a Uberti Bisley at a good price, but alas, they seem to be very scarce.

Looking for Uberti Bisley:  Call CDNN Sports 800-588-9500.  They have the Beretta (Uberti) Bisley on sale for $399.  I picked up a pair a few months ago and they are nice.  I believe Beretta is discontinuing these.  CDNN is a big firearm overstock/closeout warehouse in Abilene, Texas.  I deal with them frequently.  Ask for a salesman named Marshall.  He'll go in the warehouse and hand pick you consecutive serial number guns if you want.
