Saloon Gunfight, Mini Western, 2009 NCOWS National Shoot

Here is another quick edited scene (not the finished product) from our western we shot at the NCOWS national shoot this year.

In this scene, the mob inside the saloon has driven the bad guys out into the street. This scene is actually much longer but there is a limit on how much MB's you can upload to photobucket....but you get the idea of how difficult it would have been in those days to hit anything even in close quarters combat. The smoke you see is all from the gun fire and blank loads...Oh, and during editing all the gun fire audio will be dubbed with real gun fire audio...it'll be much louder and more realistic.

Lots of smoke and it did smell like a sulfur well. When this scene is finished I'll have bullet holes rotoscoped into the tent walls....Grizz wouldn't let me put real holes in the walls....and Grizz is too big to argue with...Thanks to the KVC boys for letting me use their facilities....and they came prepared and knew their lines. The music you hear in the background is something I threw in just for these two edits, I'll get the sound tracks down probably next week.

It should be against the law to have this much fun.....

Mike and his wife are planning on coming to our July 4th shows at Elizabeth, Indiana. Why not come along if you have the time?

We may want to dicuss filming somthing like you all did at the Nationals.

Also can I get in on buying a DVD?


It was really good to see and talk to you at Evansville.

What you don't see in this short clip that will be in the extended version is, there are several saloon patrons on the floor and under the tables returning gun fire at the bad guys.

I do....but they are part of a 15 minute western we shot at the NCOWS national shoot that will be the opening and introduction to the national shoot DVD....so if you want to see the whole mini western you'll have to purchase the DVD.

Did you all notice in the last scene when Books was backing out the door...how the cards exploded off the table with his last shot...that was just from the force of the blanks he was shooting.
