R &D cylinder parts

      Would anyone know where I might buy R&D components? Backplates, nipple components etc?

Have you tried Taylors?  By "nipple", I presume you mean firing pins (?)

I just fired my R&D in my 1858 Remmy today and am pleased with it but does anyone know how long the firing pins last? Do they need to be replaced after a time? If so, like the OP, where do you buy them?

I have R&D cylinders in Remington Piettas I have been shooting for about 5 or 6 years, and have yet to replace a firing piun.
