Looking to buy:

  •     Pietta 1858 Remington barrel, preferably blue. A good bore is more important to me than external finish wear. I've got a nickel plated barrel in VG condition (missing site and lug) if you need one in trade.  The nickel barrel isn't for sale seperately until I get a replacement barrel.

  •     Kirst Konversion cylinder and backplate kit for Pietta 1858 Remington in .45 Colt.  I'd prefer early production type with loading gate (or just loading port) and with the chambers evenly spaced.  I'm not using it for SASS so I don't want or need the "6th chamber"

Easiest way to contact me is email: kar98k (at) hot.rr.com

Thanks in advance,

"I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughing. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it."

Flint

The only cylinders Kirst makes with 6 chambers are the 38 caliber and the Ruger Old Army 45.  The Remington cylinder is too small in diameter to accept 6 rims without angling the chambers as R&D does.
