I am planning on bringing a batch of buffalo chili to the Nat. shoot, I will be setting up my buffalo
camp and thought we could cook and serve it there along with corn bread in the dutch oven.
I thought maybe we could do this on Thursday night. I have a turkey fryer pot that holds
7 gallons and that feeds about 50 people. Any input about how many would be interested
would be appreciated.

Rowdy,

I plan on getting there wed. afternoon so if that works best on wed. evening thats fine
with me. As it gets closer we can hopefully have some idea of how many people, a full batch
will feed about 50.

Yuma Kid

Bear Tooth,
There will be a group of 4 of us from the Nebraska Territories rolling in about Sun-up on Wed.  One of the group has to work on Tuesday, so we plan on leaving Tuesday evening.  I'm sure we can be counted on to partake.  If fact, the way we eat, you might want to count the 4 of us as 8.  ;D

Please bring your own bowls and your appetite. Rowdy, what will the firewood situation be?

I have a bunch of dry oak but I don't think we're supposed to cross state lines with it,
because of the ash borer problem. I can get some dry buffalo chips but I don't want
anyone thinking the chili tastes like s_ _ _

Those chips give the chili a rather piquant flavor and aroma. ::) ;) :-X

Bear Tooth, you are right about not bring your wood across state lines. The primitive campers got wood last year, West Side might even have some.

Books could you help here? TJ

BTB, we were at West Side today setting up the range. J.D. Books said he would be moving more fire wood over by the primitive camping area. Should be plenty.  Was a good turn out of West Side people to help us set up. Wait till you see the two new showers, hot and cold water. TJ  :D
