Yes Mako, that was the link.  The link I gave ya leads ya right to it.  Fer 99 cents it's definately worth a roll of the dice.  Even I can afford that, an that's sayin alot.

Feel bad this all went sideways.  I just told a guy in another thread that he would know he had a good seal on a modern gun if it cut a ring.
After that, fix er up an make er right.  Avoid possible complications.  When you are used to pressing balls in you know when they seal as long as there is not a burr ta cut a open channel in one.  We all know most chain fires come from the back end of the cylinder.

Good luck to all, see ya down the line.
Leo,
Please take this with all due respect, but that is not a historical specification.  It is the schematic that Numrich Arms had in their printed catalog.

The reason I was so curious was because almost all of the engineering documents that weren't in the unburned half of the actual shops were destroyed in the fire of 1864 which burned the pattern rooms, engineering offices as well as the business offices.  Ron Stewart showed us the only pre 1864 engineering archive that remained in the Colt's plant in 1996 and it was a paltry bit of information.  Man... I would love to have framed reproductions of the original drawings.  Colt's would have loved them too in 1864, they had to reproduce a lot from patterns and gaging that wasn't destroyed as well as a few documents that had been sent overseas.  You would have thought more drawings from the London Armory open from 1852-1857 would have survived in some form.

Well, I'm sorry this ballooned as well...No fight intended, I'm just looking for the historical facts.

Best regards,
Mako
