We are getting close to the National Shoot . We are hard at work getting door prizes and talk about Tough .
This economy is tough on everyone , wish us luck .

While the economy is not good and no doubt affects many, many businesses, all reports are indicating that the firearms/ammo/related business industry is going gangbusters. Firearms flying off shelves, ammo and components being snatched up everywhere, shelves bare at gunstores etc.

Wouldn't have thought that under those circumstances they'd be feeling too much of a pinch at the moment.

Perhaps the items we have been use to getting for door prizes are selling so fast the companies will not spare give aways. TJ

I am friends with a local gun store owner here in Dallas. He's been in the business 30 years and has never moved as much inventory as he has done in the past 5 months.

We could do what we do in the pow-wow circuit....and make a gift as a door prize. I know people out there love my hand made period correct brained tanned moccasins.......

Bill, me!..me!. . .
plus, I would dearly love an item beaded with the ca. 1890-1910 seed beads I passed on to you.
If push came to shove, the membership could probably come up with suitable prizes for an NCOWS National. If we are short on prizes.

The Door Prizes are less than usual . But I am hoping , been's it's May they will start to arrive . The Ammo from Black Hills is here and the Black Powder ammo is PROMISED ? But we are waiting , if you have any contacts at Goex call them and ask for their support We have been planning this shoot for Months , we are about a month out and we can't wait . This will be a GREAT Adventure from the shooting to the Camping and all the visiting . The video will be Great and the Movie will be something we will leave behind for future generations to look up to . These are the things we need to do , this will promote our Organization and that is an Excellent Thing . See you in June .

What would be the Parameters of door prizes... $:-\$

I mean are there items that might not be NCOWS related but none the less be nice to recieve

I-Pods , GPS , etc..... would these be outside $:-\$

reason being, perhaps we could mine other caves

So far it's grips ,reloading manuals . gift certificates , We won't turn anything down and as for GPS , I Pods sounds good to me I love to give gifts away to our shooters . This was my way of thanking the shooters for making the shoot . We would love to have a 100 + shooters . And to Recruit 25 new members .

Count me in for a pair of hand made moccasins of any tribal style, your choice. They will have brained tanned smoked uppers and real, white, shaped rawhide soles.

I'll make out a card to be given as a prize and I'll get the winners foot/calf measurements there at the national shoot.
By the way....I usually get $300.00 plus for these moccasins.

One point, I don't make fantasy moccasins, only historically correct to a specific tribe. About a four to five week delivery time on the moccasins, you have to be there at the national shoot to win them.....my rules.

So, any of you guys wanting to build a scout persona/impression, this is your chance to win a period correct pair of moccasins. If a lady wins, that's another story. Oh, you have to be an NCOWS member to win and for me to make them...again, my rules, hope you can live with them. You'll also get a certificate of authenticity showing that these are Native American made.
