I have my Marlin '95cowboy 45-70 being 'smoothed out' (was a wee bit 'stiff') and that terrible side safty removed and replaced with a 'dummie slotted screw.
How many of you guys shoot Marlins ? I am thinking serioulsy about a '94cb for CAS shooting. Since it would be a 'CAS only' rifle, I might go .357 with it, due to reloading cost,etc. I love Winchesters,,but Marlins hit the soul too.

My '95cb is strictly a deer rifle, not to see much CAS side matches. This past year I shot Remingtion JSP , 405s , and it was devestating on deer. I'd just gotten it in Sept and didnt have time for a complete 'tune up' like I'm getting done now.
Talked to the gunsmith today and he said it was gonna be a fine tuned rifle.

And, we all know, lifes too short to shoot shi#ty guns.

Mike...Mike.....Mike.....What happened to you man? You used to be a real hard core reenactor.....stay that way.....I just can't visualize you doing a late 19th century persona. With your knowledge...you should be emulating someone just past the civil war or early 1870's........

Hey Bill,,,,I still got a hard core in me. But, SASS is ALL we got here,,and I do shoot with them. Only game in town,and they are good folks too.

I got my 'hard core' 19th centry stuff,,geared to about 1778,,,kinda my chosen time/year... and all my 'right' stuff is,,well,,just right......just sometimes I let my hair down and play SASS once a month.

Yea, I'm still hard core in my soul,,;just not many here to pard up with that are strict history bent. I wish there were.
