Looks good though I agree with HPH.....

use the baseball stitch and tap it down after sewing and you have the flattest seam possible...
A how-to for the baseball stitch courtesy of Al Stohlman..if you don't havea glover's needle no problemo just use an awl and a harness needle.

Thanks, pards. I will add another strip, and try the baseball stitch. Gotta steal another rawhide bone from my neighbor's Rottweiler, appropriately named "Nutcracker", though.  Sigh... :P
