Not so much a topic to get people talking, but it may give you a laugh!!

Having got over the inevitable couple of first round misses, (something akin to "buck fever"), I proceeded through the next 4 stages 'clean' and improving my times.

Then came the 6th and final stage.

Checked all nipples for caps,,,ok.
Marlin .44 loaded with the required amount of superbly reloaded ammo,,,check!
Shotgun slide filled to capacity, (just in case),,,no problem.

Step up to the line,,,shooter ready???

Rifle first,,,clean and quick (ish), fore sight clearer than I've ever seen it :o
Shotgun,,no fumbles and clean, again! :D
First pistol,,,missed number 5,(how?),,,change pistol,, 2nd, 3rd, 4th shots all high, (why??) 5 shot , hit,,too late.. :'(

Back to the unloading bench, cleared,,,walk dejectedly back to equipment cart, stash guns, remove reading glasses,,,,,,,READING GLASSES????? ???

Oh shoot!!!

Take heed pards, it could happen to anyone!!

As always;  The most important piece of shooting equipment is "The nut that holds the butt!"

After a lifetime of shooting, and about 15 years in CAS, I can still rack up the "procedurals" and inexplicable misses!

The real question is, if you'd used BI-focals, could you have shot both pistolas at once and saved LOTS of time?

Reminds me of another old saying my Pappy used to tell me:

Hey Russ, you know what I'm like;
if I can bring a little comedy into someones life, then I don't care if they are laughing with me or at me!!!

I think I have reached that stage in life where any sort of communication is a bonus,,,,go on,,,,make me have it!!!
