A while back I had him make me some holsters for my 1851 Colt clones. I loved them so much that I had him make me a belt also. I didnt want anything too fancy and wanted them in a regular antique brown look. I had him cut down the part of the holsters that covered the trigger guard and really do like how they are. I think the belt goes nice with what I was looking for.

Now....I hope you enjoy. Im no photographer

Well, Joey, it looks like Dalton did you right with that rig. Very good work.

Cudos to you, Dalton. Nice meander border on the belt. The color works nicely with the Navies.

Yep, that's Dalton quality stuff right there. Real nice meander stamping. It couldn't be better.

I keep looking at those holsters, and wondering what I could do about the wrinkles. I think if I clipped the corner portion off thats under the triggerguard, and made it a straighter boot, it would take care of that part.

But, I am absolutely baffled as to why the wrinkles appeared going down the stitched side of the holsters.

The belt was fun to make. Each meander stamp was hit at least twice. I stamped it all with the stamp flat on the surface the first time, but when it was done, it was kinda plain. So I tipped the stamp forward, with the rounded end digging in, and made it more 3D.

PHWAW!!! Great stuff there, could that be loosely described as an 1850's fast draw rig ???

Good looking, clean lines to the whole thing, and I really like that colour  :D

Howdy DM
Good lookin rig.
Sometime when you are molding leather and it is following a curved line like that, it wrinkles. If you had a long
bone folder to reach in and lift close to the stitch line you might be able to get rid of the wrinkles.

Aha, thanks for that tip, WC! I knew there had to be a cure, but wasnt sure what it would be.
