Hi folks:
My Remmies always seem to beat up the knuckle on my middle finger.
That's why I mostly shoot Colts.
But I love the looks of Remmies.

I've even thought about cutting off the rear of the triggerguard, but my pards tell me that would be an "external mod"

I can't be the only one!
What do you guys do to avoid/get around this problem?

Thanks

You can drop your little finger under the bottom of the grip, if you have large hands, this will ease things up a bit, and you will be able to get a better grip, this way, minus your trigger finger you will now have only two fingers behind the trigger guard, I find I also have better control grip wise.

Which make of Remington do you have? The Euroarms have the smallest grips and frames. The Piettas are larger and the Ubertis in between. I've owned all 3 makes. The Euros occasionally touch my knuckle but the Ubertis never do.

My Ubertis don't do that for me at all. My middle finger is against the trigger guard all the time but I don't get beat up. I have narrow fingers. Maybe that has something to do with it.

OK, I went and checked how I hold it. My knuckle is lightly touching the trigger guard in the center where it's smooth. I don't contact the edges at all.

Never had any such problem . . . I shoot Piettas with the standard factory supplied grips.  Just pulled one out to check, . . . and I do put the little finger under the butt of the grip.  Works for me.  Some pards with big hands like the over size gripped Piettas that are available from Dixie Gun Works.

Good shootin' . . . .  :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

They are Piettas.
Sounds like I'll just have to play a bit with how I grip the gun, or maybe get some oversize grips.
My hands aren't that large, but I do have fat fingers.
Too much linguine, as Frank DiGeorgio would say!
Thanks fer the advice.

My Uberti NMA conversion .45 bangs the fire out of my middle finger also.  :o If I use .45 schofields it's not so bad. My Piettas never hit my finger. I guess because it's a little bigger.
