 :)

Thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my latest projects. First is a sheath for an old knife that has been languishing in my tacklebox for 40 years. The original sheath disappeared or disintegrated about 35 years ago. Yeah, it was an expensive knife (LOL). Anyway, it looks great on my SASS rig, so I'm happy. The holster is my own design for an old Iver Johnson 32 Pocket Pistol I just acquired. Used a basketweave on it. My wife says, "it's a cute little holster for a cute little pistol that shoots cute little bullets". I guess 32 S&W bullets are kinda cute. Sorry the pictures are not any better. Battery was going out in the camera this morning.

Those look great, PC. Nice job on a matching set. I like the knife. The Iver Johnson is cool, too. Thanks.

Hey Clint, very nice work. That knife may be old, but it sure looks great. I like the color and the basket stamping

X Pen, I wonder how many preachers there are here as well. I've been a pastor 27 years, the last 19 full time. Before that I worked in evangelism 9 years. Of course you don't have to be full time, or even a pastor to be a preacher!

Thanks guys, I appreciate every one of you!JD

Thanks, everyone. For the record, I am a second career pastor. Just celebrating my tenth anniversary as a United Methodist pastor in full-time ministry. Before that, I owned an engineering and surveying firm for 25 years. No regrets in the change! God has blessed me with His call. To all you other pastors, preachers, or deacons, my prayers are with you and your ministry. BTW, still enjoy Glenn Ford in "Heaven With a Gun."

Howdy Preacher,

Very nice job on your Holster and Sheath! It's always nifty to wear something at a match that you designed and made yourself.
Many thanks for sharing your leather work and the story of your career change with us.

Hey Ciint, nice to hear about someone else with a career change mid stream so to speak. I went full time in '93, but I graduated from high school in '67, and was working even before that. Mostly sales and transportation. I worked full time while pastoring the church I'm at now until we hit about 90 in Sunday morning attendance, and finally got streched too thin.

God bless, keep up the good work, and keep on sharing your leather projects! JD
