in that it's a 45 Cal. then no..

I stated I've seen a so called thick plate conversion with gate in a collection I believe it was a 44 cal.
might have been 46..
a while back some one posted a photo of another on this forum If memory serves..
I can't say either were Factory conversions

Short of a "not in production" very high Dollar and excellent Millington conversion. These are the only game in town in production and quite good ( not counting one off's )

It is a robust shooter, a tad larger in the frame to accomadate 6 Rounds of 45 Colt.

Ok so the consensus is that the Remington conversion made by Uberti and offered by Taylors is NOT a correct reproduction.

True...............or False.     ???

this then might describe the gun in Mr. Dent's  Collection  :-\

* Non-Remington Factory Army Size: many variations, some with ejectors and/or loading gates, some without; some with loading grooves, some without; most are .44 Colt center-fire; a few, .44 or .46 rimfire, or .45 center-fire

I talked to Mr. Millington a few weeks ago and he is building a new house. He said that he has a two year waiting list for conversions. He said he will still antique your gun for  $200.00 with a turn around of one month. But he said to contact him in March to see for sure when he would accept guns again. Take care.
